Experience and the right questions
Good mentoring is rarely just one thing. I mentor — sharing experience, frameworks and hard-won lessons — and I coach, using questions, reflection and challenge to surface your own answers. The blend flexes session by session, because real leadership questions rarely arrive neatly labelled.
For some engagements I also add an optional layer of fractional consulting — embedded support between sessions: reviewing a policy, joining an ERG or working group, or being the experienced voice in the room when it matters.
Executive coaching
For senior leaders who want a trusted thinking partner
Executive coaching is the higher-touch tier of this work: confidential, board-level support for senior leaders carrying complex, often lonely decisions. It is mentoring-led — grounded in real organisational experience rather than psychometric process — and shaped entirely around you. Fewer people, deeper conversations, bigger stakes.
How it works
A programme, not a chat
- Format
- One-to-one, a peer pair, or a small cohort (groups of three or four).
- Cadence
- Typically around twelve sessions over three to six months — fortnightly, 60–120 minutes each. A shorter six-session arc is also available.
- The arc
- We move through five phases: foundation, awareness, activation, action and integration.
- The output
- A working Playbook, built over the programme: your reflections, commitments, tools and a 90-day action plan. Something you keep and use.
